Tubular batteries are usually a stacked array of batteries for storing
a charge to be fed back at a constant voltage and current. Great for units
that are going to a inverter for conversion to household voltage and current.
Unlike regular lead acid batteries they have a plate much like a bunch of
straws glued together inside the positive anode plate that keeps the lead acid
or lithium gel from contacting the plate itself and because of the tubes
gives it a bigger surface area on which to collect and disperse a charge
